Contemporary Stained Glass
A stained glass window colours and transforms a space. Depending on the light and the position of the sun, a stained glass window shifts with the rhythm of the day.
In our atelier we search for a contemporary formal language. We approach leaded glass as a graphic medium and use lead as a drawing tool. Lead becomes an active compositional element that builds tension throughout the work. That broken, expressive line is characteristic of our work.
Contemporary design in a historic monument
Over the years, much stained glass in historic monuments has been lost. Contemporary glass can fill that void in a compelling way: not by imitating the past, but by developing a contemporary formal language that enters into dialogue with the existing building and its history. In this way we design new windows for monumental buildings, with respect for architecture and history.
Together with the client, we explore how light, colour, and form can strengthen the space. Whether it's a private individual, an architect, a contractor, or an artist: every design starts from the specific context of the project. We can take care of the entire design process, but are equally happy to develop an existing design or concept further.
